HostGator Review Site

I used to have a Reseller account with Hostgator. I decided to try this webhost provider because of its good review. Moreover, I found its rate then quite affordable for a start up customer like me.

My reseller account was set up smoothly. The transfer of my files from my previous host was even undertaken by Hostgator thus making my migration hassle free. As a reseller, I was even provided with some website templates which I could use for reselling webhost accounts. Just a litlle tweaking of the files and I had my ready made web host business courtesy of Hostgator.

I stayed with Hostgator for around 3 months without any problem with my websites. I did not encounter any technical downtime during this period. The servers were generally stable. However, my account was short lived. Hostgator suddenly suspended my account when I filed a chargeback with my credit card company because of double payment posting with the company. This service provider took this action from me negatively to the extent that it shut down my account leaving all my websites inaccessible for a certain period of time.

I explained my case but Hostgator refused to listen to my explanation. Instead, it had to require me to send via fax my credit card information which I did not comply for security reason. The bottom line was that I paid my due account. This inflexibility on the part of Hostgator made me shift to another web host. It was good I had my personal backup for restoring all my websites.

I give Hostgator a rating of 5 for this experience.

The Flaws of Hostgator

1) Loading of site has been a problem when you buy the Shared Hosting of Hosting. Maybe you’re really thinking that they’re giving such fast loading, you’ll be disappointed because its not. Having that shared servers, you’ll just be sharing a server to several websites, of about seven to eight hundred. However, in terms of speed they’re better in terms of another host, although it renders slow service to visitors.

2) The site does not have a database to answer the very typical questions like that of Hosting or cPanel, and many related matters. However when your contacting them through their Helpdesk or Live Chat, they’ll answer every questions, yet it will really be of help having solid knowledge.

I thought of mentioning the flaws of Hostgator because other people the speed as well the knowledgebase is very important features to consider when hosting.

The Strenghts of Hostgator

1) The site gives me up to 100 percent up time since the time I begin my web-hosting account. I now host to over twenty seven domains to their webhosting, in a single account, its really excellent in service because I haven’t heard any complaint in those thousands of visitors visiting in a daily basis about those downtime and/or issues on server.

2) There are lots of webhosts services online this days yet the Hostgator service has been one of the best or should I say leader in hosting firms in their features and all. However, I like if they will introduce free offers of domain in every purchase, because its been promoted by lots of hosting companies these days.

The only thing which is missing is that they do not offer windows hosting.

I have been hosting my network of websites with HostGator for just over 6 months, and all I can is positive things about them. From the moment I started, I was greeted with excellent customer service which helped me setup my dedicated server in no time.

Along with the customer service, the prices for hosting were incredible. I was able to snatch up a dedicated server for just $174 per month. If that’s not for you, they can supply you with hosting for as little as $4.95 per month!

While I have been hosting with HostGator for 6 months, I have had absolutely zero downtime! My network of websites has stayed up and operational for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, showing that they are a reliable web host.

HostGator has only been around for approximately 3 years, but already they have consumed a large amount of market share in the web hosting industry.
Why is this? It is because they offer highly reliable, affordable web hosting which is backed by excellent customer service. HostGator is among one of the best web hosts today.

In conclusion, I would have to say that HostGator is the best solution for your personal or business website. They provide all the essentail web hosting services and also offer packages for all levels of management. I have been with Hostgator for sometime now. I choose Hostgator because they had very good reviews all over the internet and I got review coupon code using which I could verify that at virtually no cost. From my experience I can say you can’t find a better company than hostgator.

Incredibly cheap (I got coupon code from a site), especially for all they offer Cpanel, huge web space, unlimited parked domains, Unlimited emails and MySQL databases.

When I signed up I was not an expert with hosting but they helped me in every issue, Tried their support even at midnight and support tech was their to solve an apache issue in a minute. They have 24/7 live support but their email support team i also excellent. They give a more complete answer to technical questions then the Live help. I’ve mailed a few questions and one was answered within 24 hours, and the others within 2 hours.

No problems with downtime. During last 2 year my site never was down for more than a few minutes. I couldn’t ask for much more out of a host. The server has been stable, with just a few short downtimes caused by attacks or malfunctioning scripts (nothing that they could prevent). After suffering through major downtime with my previous host stability was one of the major factors for me.

Overall I am very happy with their service. If things continue like this I see no reason why I would ever need to go with another host.

My Overall Rating for Hostgator will be 9 out of 10.

For the most part I enjoyed using Hostgator to host my website. Being that I live in Texas, I love the fact that Hostgator is a Texas-based company operated out of Houston.

The customer service was excellent, and on average they got back to me within the day of me leaving a message. When I had some issues initially uploading my web pages onto there server, I got a quick response and they handled the situation with grace. Using the chat function was even easier, that’s their representatives were very informed and were able to answer almost any question that I had. The only real issue I had with host gator was concerning transferring domains to and from my account with them. I had more than a few issues concerning this, but they were all addressed and in the end handled in a reasonable amount of time.

At the very worst it took the tech support at Hostgator, about two weeks to handle a domain transfer that was being held up. I hosted a majority of my websites and content on host gator for about six months before transferring them over to Godaddy.com. The transfer was not because of lack of customer service or anything like that, it was more because of costs above anything else. As of now, I’m having a few issues with GoDaddy.com, so I am actually considering transferring them back to Hostgator regardless of the overall cost.

So if I was giving a recommendation about what hosting company I would prefer to do business with, Hostgator.com would be my number one choice, and based on that I would rate them a 10/10.

HostGator doesn’t look so professional on the surface, I mean, look at their homepage. It’s very simple and old-fashioned. But they are excellent at what they do, you need a good service, right? You will never see any customer yelling about faults in their services. Their online help is always online! And you don’t need to wait in long queue, get in contact just within seconds.

I had used GoDaddy for my forum, and got annoyed by the level of service they provided. Then I chose HostGator as a new home for my forum, I never got a chance to get annoyed again! HostGator isn’t a cheap webhost, but having average pricing. Compared to their level of service, it’s totally affordable. In fact, you feel getting more than you paid for! Their email support team is really very fast, you get replied within hours or maximum 1 day.

Their servers are really powerful, making pages to load at lightening fast speed. As good news, they now support SSH on all shared hosting accounts. Their Baby plan includes unlimited bandwidth and unlimited domain names, just for 7.95$/month now! Just give it a try; you will never need to look at other hosting providers. It will be a foolish deed to go elsewhere, mind you!

All in all, HostGator takes care of their customers, gives very reliable services for which you paid; unlike some Big names like GoDaddy. If you want your website up always and want to be treated as a valued customer, go for HostGator, I would rate them a 10/10

I’ve been with host gator for 4 months now, and I am satisfied. In the same time I’m hosting with another company (I used them as a before moving to hostgator). So I have had a few customers on the old server and the server speed wasn’t great so I switched to hostgator. I made the switch only because hostgator started their unlimited bandwidth and space offers, I now realize I made the right choice by switching the host. I can say the support is excellent, helped me regardless whether it’s early morning and late night. They even helped me move my sites to hostgator from my old server. As my users have noticed - suddenly my sites are faster and more responsive. I might say that the few companies that I have tried before moving to host gator - they are nowhere close to hostgator, the support here is impressive and it’s great talking to them. Keep up the good work.

Whenever I had a question or issue it got resolved in hours not days, mainly due to the HostGator ticket system. It is so easy to use and the tickets get a reply within 2 hours or less. This was in stark contrast to my previous host. The free templates and website builder are an added bonus though I never used them myself, as I am a designer. I can tell you they are of high quality,

Besides basic plans it also offer reseller as well as dedicated webhosting. Features and benefits of these reseller and dedicated hosting are just outstanding. Within next few months I have plans to buy a dedicated hosting and shift all of my sites under Hostgator jurisdictions. Although it’s the right time for all the customers as winter sale is going on under which you will be given 20% discount on all the initial orders. It’s the most reliable and trusted webhosting company I ever experienced; undoubtedly I would give it 10 out of 10.

I have been using the Baby Croc hosting package from HostGator for more than two years after I got fed up with the previous hosting service provider that I was using. There is also a hatchling package available for people who only want to spend less than $10 per month and just want to focus on one website. But I think it’s a waste of money to spend on that package when you can get something better by spending a couple of dollars more.

I was skeptical at first because there were too many positive reviews about HostGator out there.

One of the feature that I like about HostGator is the fact that I can have unlimited number of domain names on the Cpanel.

Fantastico installer is another feature that I find very interesting and help me to save a lot of time whenever I need something quick on my domain names. It also help me to upgrade the CMS I in a very short time.

There’s a 99.9% uptime guarantee for every plans that are available on HostGator. So you can rest assured that your website will be online all the time. Well, there are of course downtime but I still think it’s better to host my sites on a service provider that provides a guarantee.

The hosting package on HostGator is perfect for Internet marketers because it allow you to host numerous sites on it. This is especially useful if you need hosting service for your one page sales letter.

I think you will not regret using HostGator. They’re definitely the perfect choice for your webhosting need.
